67 Pontiac GTO 461-Powered Stroker V8
This 1967 Pontiac GTO hardtop coupe is powered by stroker 461ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and an Eaton limited-slip differential and was refinished in red over black vinyl. The engine was rebuilt and installed in 2017 and has Kauffman Racing Engineering aluminum cylinder heads, Doug’s headers, and an aluminum radiator, and the car is also equipped with a black vinyl roof, power-assisted front disc brakes, power steering, 15″ wheels, Mickey Thompson tires, a custom dual exhaust system, a Hurst shifter, a cassette stereo, and a hood tachometer. This is now offered with a spare set of wheels and tires, assorted spare parts, and a clean New York Title.
The car was factory-finished in Linden Green (H) and was refinished in red under previous ownership. Features include a black vinyl roof as well as stacked headlights, a hood scoop, dual side mirrors, GTO badging, a hood tachometer, and chrome trim on the grille, bumpers, window surrounds, and rocker panels. Rust is noted on the bottom of the doors, under the vinyl top, and on the rear panel.
Silver-finished 15″ wheels are mounted with 235/60 Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T tires up front and 275/60 Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S rubber out back. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping is provided by power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes. The seller states that the brakes were overhauled in 2015 and that the rear control arms and bushings, the front upper and lower control arms, and the front shocks were replaced in the following two years.
The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl, and interior appointments include a Hurst shifter, seatbelts, a full-length center console, a cassette stereo, and a locking glovebox.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer, and aftermarket auxiliary gauges are housed underneath the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 23k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The 461ci stroker V8 was rebuilt and installed in 2017. Equipment includes Kauffman Racing Engineering aluminum cylinder heads, Doug’s headers, an aluminum radiator, and an Edlebrock intake manifold and valve covers. Photos of stampings are provided in the image gallery below.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission, and a 10-bolt Eaton limited-slip differential said to be fitted with 3.55:1 gearing was installed in 2016. A custom dual exhaust system is fitted.
